“If Lianne La Havas and Jeff Buckley were to have a child …”. Aïcha Cherif writes intense yet subdued songs with a strong melancholic character. Their music is stubborn, characterised by rawness and honesty. After winning the Dutch national Kunstbende finale, Aïcha and the guys didn’t hesitate to record their very first EP called ‘Change’. In the following years the band played festivals like Lowlands, Valkhof Festival, Zomerparkfeest, Cultura Nova, Bruis, Bevrijdingsfestival Limburg and Altersonic Showcases. Besides that they got to support artists like Trixie Whitley (who was an inspiration for the ‘Change’ EP), Bettie Serveert and Qeaux Qeaux Joans. In 2017 the band was selected for Popronde, and played 12 shows during the Dutch travelling festival that lasts from september till november. Their new single from their upcoming EP will appear in march 2018, which they wrote and recorded with their producer Bart Oostindie, and engineer Ingo Jetten. You can expect their second single in June, and the full EP in september 2018.
